Journey of Working Through An Injured Elbow

My left arm shakes when I bench heavy. I can’t even bench 135 lbs. without my arm shaking violently. It’s a difference to experience that when years ago I was able to bench 225 for 10. I’m able to overhead press and do many other movements though, but it seems that bench pressing irritates it the most.

What has helped me through this tough time has been old-school and grip movements. I get a bucket of sand that I put my hand through and flex in different ways. I use a hammer to do wrist and flexion work. I have finger extensors and a squeeze ball to work out the forearms and hands. I utilize wrist curls and reverse curls. Slowly but surely I will gain my strength back and hopefully not have the go through the process of surgery.

I will be updating this blog post from time to time to show/tell the quest for a better elbow.
